| The Parish Church of St
Mary Magdalene for generations has been a central part of community life in
Hucknall. Written in its history are the lives of many people who have been
touched by this place. It is also a building rich in history. The oldest part
of the present stucture dates back to the 11th century and its architecture and
stained glass are of great interest. It is the last resting place of many
notable people in history including that of the poet Lord Byron and other
members of the Byron family. We, the Friends of St Mary Magdalene Hucknall,
want to celebrate this churchs past, make its presence known and
preserve its future for generations to come. You can help by downloading
and completing the enrolment form and becoming a member. |
